Hi classmates:

Today I will talk about the subject that I have enjoyed most
during this semester, not because it’s so entertaining but because it is very
different to what we see in all courses, this is "Psychosocial and
Anthropological Bases of Health I". In dentistry we are accustomed to see
everything objectively but this course does the opposite, seeks to put us on
the patient's side, we no longer dedicate ourselves to seeing the disease, we
see the patient as a whole, we care about making them feel comfortable beyond
just giving them the treatment and never seeing them again.
Some of the issues we have seen are the compassion in
dentistry, this is summarized in trying to help the patient with the best
possible disposition; we have seen different paradigms prevailing in health
today and even public health.
I think I liked it because it makes me think in a different
way, as I'm used to, focused on the patient, it's entertaining to see
everything from a point of view that isn’t focused on the disease.
Greetings!
Despite of I'm not be humanist, I think is very necessary the anthropology because the course talk about of topics as biotic and relationship patient-dentist.

ResponderBorrarI like the thematic of this subject but it's difficult for me because I am a zero to the left on the humanist side :( but I find the perspective it poses very interesting
ResponderBorrarI think it is very positive that we have this kind of courses where they teach you how to treat patients, to be more empathetic, more human.
